First Two Weeks in Orlando

I don't know if you can tell, but this is our room! Amazing! I can't think of a better place to call home for two weeks. We had a full kitchen, a dining area, a living area, a HUGE bathroom, a separate garden tub, and a huge bedroom with a screened in porch. Our room was on the ground level and we walked out the door and to the right was the gate to the pool. The closest room to the pool in the whole resort. This may not seem like a big deal to most, it may even sound like a nightmare to some, but for a mom with two kids under 4 spending the majority of her time without help, this was heaven!

The gated baby pool. This is where we spent most of our time, but as the weeks went on the boys started getting more and more interested in the big pool.

This was way more impressive to Moses than the pools.

This is the restaurant we had right outside our room at the pool. We ate here 80% of the time on a sweet hotel credit!

Trying to keep 'em hydrated!

We ate several times at the Pei Wei in Orlando! Going to the Whole Foods, two doors down, for dessert became a tradition.

This was at our resort! An indoor playplace (called the Maze) only for preschoolers.

Our resort had planned activities all day every day for children of all ages. On this night a bonfire was scheduled on the sand volleyball court. Due to rain the bonfire was held inside. Moses couldn't stay out of the fire. Neither of them could get enough s'mores.

We tried for 14 days to get reservations at Disney. Finally, we just showed up at Chef Mickey's one of our last nights and after a two-three hour wait, we got in! Chef Mickey's is a character dinner. This place was a buffet of the tastiest gourmet food ever had on a buffet.
Disney absolutely brings glory to the buffet.

We are officially in the happiest place on Earth...

...or so we thought!
Chef Mickey's was a nightmare for Moses and this was the closest Brooks got to a character. Also, this was the last smile out of Brooks!

In a short break from the characters, we caught a smile.

Here they come again. Oh No!

Okay, so he seems to be warming up to the characters.

Do you see this ice cream topping buffet? Not to mention the other gourmet desserts.

Be sure you check out this pool! Unbelievable. In case you can't tell, that is a cannon that actually sprays water he is aiming!

Moses, ordinarily a mama's boy, was strangely attached to dad at the pool.

Okay, so Brooks had been asleep for about 30 minutes before we stopped for dinner at The Varsity. Those of you who know Brooks, or even me for that matter, know that he was not in the mood for a photoshoot OR a cool hat.

Moses, on the other hand, could wake up in a head lock and smile!

So close, but still so far from home. We were so happy to head back!
